Congratulations to lieutenant Justin Donovan for completing and receiving his Missouri State Fire Service Instructor 2 certification. His commitment to the betterment of our fire service is leading the way for the future of SGFD. It is an honor to have Justin on our department.

The Ste Genevieve Fire Dept is proud to recognize Firefighter/EMT Bo Caldwell for his recent participation in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in Jefferson City on September 10th. The stair climb is an annual event to recognize the sacrifices of the 343 New York City Firefighters that died running into the World Trade Center on September 11th. The climb also is a fund raising effort with donations given to the National Fallen Fire Fighters Foundation. The climb is done in full firefighter gear with an air pack on their back. Participants also carry the name tags of fire fighters that died on September 11th.

We would like to congratulate Bo on not only climbing all 110 flights of stairs along with carrying the tags of 3 fallen fire fighters from FDNY. Bo also honored the memory of the 2 firefighters that have died in the Line of Duty from the Ste Genevieve Fire Dept by [...]

Congratulations to Jeff Gurley for being the Ste Genevieve Fire Department Firefighter of the Month for the month of September!
Jeff has served on the department for 17 years. He has held the position of Firefighter and now holds the position of truck engineer and helps with department vehicle and equipment maintenance. He has been an outstanding member of the Fire Department and a leader in our community.
We are thankful for his dedication and service and are happy to take this opportunity to recognize him for his contributions to the department and the citizens we serve.

SGFD in conjunction with the Ste Genevieve County Health Department helped train the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) class this past week in fire suppression! We had a great time and look forward to doing it again!

July 30th Ste Genevieve Fire Department had a bbq celebrating 10 years in our new fire house! We were happy to see past and present members of SGFD come out and celebrate with us!

 

Congratulations to Gary Roth for being the Ste Genevieve Fire Department Firefighter of the Month for the month of August!
Gary has served for 26 years. Gary has held the position of Captain and now holds the position of truck engineer. He has been a outstanding member of the Fire Department and a leader in our community. He has also served the city as public works employee and currently serves as public works director.
We are thankful for his dedication and service and are happy to take this opportunity to recognize him for his contributions to the department and the citizens we serve.

Thank you to Wolk’s Insurance & Financial Services for their annual first responder appreciation BBQ held at the Ste Genevieve Fire Department over the weekend! First responders don’t do this job expecting recognition, but it sure is nice when someone does recognize our efforts. Thanks!

Justin has served the Ste Genevieve Fire Department for 7 years and served as a officer for 1 year. He is a State Certified Firefighter, and a state certified fire service instructor. He is also a team member of the Ste Genevieve County Tech Rescue team.

We are thankful for his dedication and service and are happy to take this opportunity to recognize him for his contributions to the department and the citizens we serve.

Firefighter of the month is a program from Ste Genevieve Fire Department with the goal to let the citizens we serve know who we are, and to recognize our firefighters for their contributions.

Ste Genevieve Fire Department was happy to host the Ozark Firefighters Association meeting last week! It was great having everyone out from the regional departments. We look forward to doing it again.
