It is the mission of the Ste Genevieve Fire Department to preserve life and property, promote public safety and fire prevention through leadership, management and actions, as an all risk life safety response provider. It is the department’s endeavor to deliver the highest level of service to our residents with the utmost professionalism.

I take great pride and honor in introducing you to our department. The Ste. Genevieve Fire Department was founded in 1894, by a group of dedicated citizens who had the foresight to start fire protection in our city. The Ste. Genevieve Fire Department is an all-volunteer department comprised of 28 volunteer firefighters. We no doubt have some of the most dedicated and talented firefighters in the area.
