Ste Genevieve Fire Department is now accepting applications to become a Volunteer Firefighter.Looking for purpose? Like helping others? Do you thrive in compelling situations and being part of a team?***Ste Genevieve Fire Department members are 100% volunteer***No experience is required. We train once a month with additional opportunities for optional training throughout the year. Once on the department for period of time we require our members to be Firefighter I&II certified. The Ste Genevieve Fire Department is made up 100% of volunteers. This means that every member is either retired or has a full time job in addition to volunteering. SGFD would like to recognize one of our volunteers, Carl Bone who is a Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper. We would like to congratulate him on his recent promotion to the rank of Sergeant with the patrol!

There is no other profession that is more rewarding and fulfilling than the fire service. These honorees have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

Every year we honor the bravery, sacrifice and dedication of our members through these awards; this year’s recipients are examples of these qualities.

SGFD is proud to announce that starting March 2020 the city of Ste Genevieve will once again be a ISO class 4 insurance rating!
This could save home owners money on their premiums, be sure to check with your insurance company.

We had a great turnout for yesterday’s event. 150+\- people showed up to tour the firehouse, check out the equipment, and watch our rescue demonstrations. This event would have never happened without our dedicated volunteers, their families, and our community. Thank you to everybody who attended including Mayor Paul Hassler, several members of the Board of Alderman, and State Fire Marshal Tim Bean. We look forward to serving our community for another 125 years!

Fire Prevention Week is in the books! This is definitely one of the most enjoyable parts of our jobs. Thanks to the local Ste. Genevieve schools for having us!

SGFD members had a great time training tonight on rural water supply and tech rescue techniques.
We also want to take this opportunity to welcome 3 new firefighters who participated in their first training!
SGFD welcomes Carl Kinsky, Dustin Boyer and Brian Herzog to the team!

 

SGFD had a great time this morning at the Ste. Genevieve County Community Center showing and demonstrating the departments new aerial truck to the kids in summer camp. Thank you to Air Evac 80 – Perryville, Missouri for coming and showing off your aircraft as well!

Yesterday, SGFD hosted the First Responders Appreciation lunch. This free meal was provided by Wolk Insurance + Financial Services and MRV Banks for the local law enforcement officers, firefighters, and hospital staff. We certainly appreciate two fantastic local business stepping up to recognize these hardworking people!
