We had a great turnout for yesterday’s event. 150+\- people showed up to tour the firehouse, check out the equipment, and watch our rescue demonstrations. This event would have never happened without our dedicated volunteers, their families, and our community. Thank you to everybody who attended including Mayor Paul Hassler, several members of the Board of Alderman, and State Fire Marshal Tim Bean. We look forward to serving our community for another 125 years!
SGFD members had a great time training tonight on rural water supply and tech rescue techniques. We also want to take this opportunity to welcome 3 new firefighters who participated in their first training! SGFD welcomes Carl Kinsky, Dustin Boyer and Brian Herzog to the team!
SGFD had a great time this morning at the Ste. Genevieve County Community Center showing and demonstrating the departments new aerial truck to the kids in summer camp. Thank you to Air Evac 80 – Perryville, Missouri for coming and showing off your aircraft as well!

Yesterday, SGFD hosted the First Responders Appreciation lunch. This free meal was provided by Wolk Insurance + Financial Services and MRV Banks for the local law enforcement officers, firefighters, and hospital staff. We certainly appreciate two fantastic local business stepping up to recognize these hardworking people!
Members of the Ste. Genevieve Fire Department spent the past three days at Rosenbauer America in Wyoming, MN completing the final inspection on the city’s new 78’ Rosenbauer Group Smart Aerial Truck.
