Ste Gen FD was happy to participate at the Spring for Down Syndrome benefit today. It is always great to see our community pull together for a great cause…rain or shine.  We look forward to doing it again next year!

Congratulations from Ste Genevieve Fire Department to firefighter Robert “Bo” Caldwell for earning his national NREMT EMT certification! ‪

Ste Gen FD was on hand to land the Air Evac helicopter over the weekend for the Roll for the Patrol benefit at the American Legion post 150 in Ste Genevieve, MO.

The Missouri Association of State Troopers Emergency Relief Society “The MASTERS” was formed in 1979 for the purpose of establishing an entirely voluntary benevolent fund for the financial aid of a trooper’s immediate surviving family member (wife or husband) and children if he or she is killed in the line of duty. The surviving family member is paid immediately a certain sum of money to help with their unexpected short-term expenses. Directors of The MASTERS from that area take the troopers’ family under their protective guidance, and from this fund help solve their financial problems.

The MASTERS assists with funeral expenses, loan payments, mortgage payments and immediate bills. It also provides scholarships for the officer’s dependent children and the surviving spouse.

Ste Genevieve Fire Department had a new engine installed this month into our command unit! In April the Ste Genevieve city council voted to approve a measure for the purchase of an engine replacement.

Thank you to our city government and community for the continued support.

Welcome, I would like to welcome you to the official website of the Ste. Genevieve Fire Department. I hope you find the site informative. I would also like to invite you to check out our official Facebook page. I take great pride and honor in introducing you to our department. The Ste. Genevieve Fire Department was founded in 1894, by a group of dedicated citizens who had the foresight to start fire protection in our city.  The Ste. Genevieve Fire Department is an all-volunteer department comprised of 28 volunteer firefighters. We no doubt have some of the most dedicated and talented firefighters in the area. Ste. Genevieve is the largest city, and the county seat, of Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri. We provide service not only to the City of Ste. Genevieve, but also approximately 48 square miles, which includes a subscription tag area outside our city limits.  Our department not only protects our citizens and their property, but we also protect the history of our country.  Ste. Genevieve is the oldest city west of the Mississippi River, with some historic homes dating back to 1792.  Our department has an ISO fire rating of class 5 district-wide. Our department has a roster of 2 [...]

Our members come from all walks of life so don’t feel that you don’t have anything to offer. Once on the department we will require you to become Firefighter I&II certified. Ste Gen FD was on hand to provide kids with information and fun on Saturday March 19th at the SGCC for the Mochip Child ID children’s identification program.  The program is sponsored by The Missouri Masonic Children’s Foundation and Masonic Saline Lodge No. 226 of St. Mary. The free program provides families with a comprehensive child ID kit — digital photographs, digital fingerprints, dental bite impressions, laminated ID cards, child information and emergency contacts — in the event a child goes missing or is abducted.

Ste Gen FD had a great time meeting with kids and parents and thanks the community for its continued support.
